ODU Monarch Community Alliance
Endowed Scholarship

The ODU Monarch Community Alliance (ODUMCA) Endowed Scholarship was formally known as the Old Dominion University Faculty Wives and Friends Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship was originally established in 1991 as an annual scholarship fund.  In 2015, ODUMCA members voted to fund an endowment with the Old Dominion University Educational Foundation to support our existing scholarship. The ODUMCA endowment had a 5 year goal of $25,000, which was met in the Fall of 2017, and continues to grow.

An annual $2,000 scholarship will be awarded based on the following criteria:  an undergraduate woman who is 25 years of age or older, demonstrates academic merit (3.5 GPA or higher), financial need, enrolled full-time, has previously attended college, and has a connection to the community. Scholarship recipient(s) will be chosen based on student information known to the university via the student’s Admissions and Student Financial Aid applications.  Scholarship recipients who met the following criteria are reviewed by the ODUMCA Scholarship Committee to determine new and/or renewing scholarship awardees. The current recipient(s) may be renewed. If renewed, the recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher.

If you would like to support this scholarship endowment with a tax deductible contribution, please send a check made payable to ODUMCA with ODU Educational Foundation on the note line to:
